How do we test?
Identifying an “Abnormal” Response (Allergy)
According to Chinese Energy Medicine, a form of bodily energy called Chi is generated in the internal organs and circulates throughout the body forming pathways called meridians. The Chinese further assert that it is a stagnation or excess in energy that leads to all disease, including allergies. In our definition of an allergy, we explained how all matter in our universe is composed of energy and that an allergic response is nothing more than the abnormal interaction between energy fields (i.e. the body and the allergen). The interesting thing is that when we are exposed to the allergen the body becomes stressed and this can be found in a number of different ways. Out of the many possible methods of identifying this stress response, in our clinic we isolate a specific muscle and we challenge its strength while being exposed to suspected allergens/pathogens/frequencies of items being tested. We commonly use the arm (deltoid) muscle but leg length changes can also be used. In this way, we can quickly move through a list of numerous items in an efficient and timely manner. At times we may also use various body reflex points to identify issues to be targeted in treatments.
